All things fabulous considered, having cool factor is something we all want and all aspire to have. So what better way than enlisting the help of perhaps the coolest of them all - Chloe Sevigny - to open your latest fashion show? Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez Fall '23 show for Proenza Schouler was typical PS, and we mean that in a good way. Drawing on the farmiliar aesthetic undercurrents of the brand that make up their 'look' - a touch of contrast stich here and a dash of athleticism there for instance - McCollough and Hernandez presented a range of to-die-for tailoring (always a tick in our box), truly exceptional outerwear and considered textures, peppered with subtle surprises (red leather evening gown anyone?).

Asymmetry lent a fresh take on a shearling aviator jacket and balayage velvet brought definite interest to that key wardrobe staple, the shirt dress. Our picks? The slightly off-camel topper and a black teddy hoody are pieces we can see sitting pretty in our wardrobes for season upon season. One can't, however, go past the accessories. The oversized totes (also in wool felt) and the slouchy boots were on another level, but it was the caramel cream coloured ankle boots that had us swooning. Sign us up.
